Colder A/C ???????
Hey got, finally got a factory A/C unit installed in my 1972 Ranger XLT that I am getting ready to restore. It works pretty good, but it is not as cold as I would like it to be. Any suggestions as to what I could do to get it colder? I have a new condenser and dryer on it. All foam on the insdie of the unit is new. I had 2 units and one of the exspansion valves didnt work so I used the one off the other unit. Could it be that this valve could be my problem?? Any suggestions?

I would try a NEW expansion valve and ensure there is no garbage floating around the system. I trust you made sure the evaporator wasnt clogged up with dirt, doghair, and crusty stuff which would reduce performance. If it has a recirc door you may want to ensure it is working. Are you using R12 with this system? R134 would probably not perform well with an expansion valve setup.
