What are the PID inputs/values to have your engine temp and oil temp automatically subtract from eachother? I once saw it but I did not save it because I wanted to start using a scan gauge reader app instead of scan Gauge.
I have quite a long list of codes for the SGII but I haven't see that one. Some of the other monitors offer that feature but I don't think the SGII does.

Thanks. I may have mixed them up. It would be great if SGII had it. Can the data read from SGII be displayed on another screen (ie tablet)? Otherwise I guess I really need to just buy a scanner that I can hardwire since I have not had much success keeping connection trying both wifi and blutooth with various readers.
The only connectivity "feature" the ScanGauge offers is that it can be daisy chained to more units. If I remember right up to four of them can be connected and they are all supposed to work together.
If you get an OBDII adapter from Amazon or eBay it can be used with a phone, tablet, laptop, or even a desktop. WiFi, BlueTooth, and wired connections are available. There are also many options for software depending on your device. Windows and Android devices have more options, Apple devices have fewer but of course they work very well .
I'm not trying to steer you away from the SGII, I love mine and am uncomfortable without out it when I loan it out, but it is pretty basic looking. I guess you could paint it or glue some glittery beads on it and the backlight does have a lot of different color options
agree with Rusty..my buddy has a SnapOn Solus that run about $5,000 and I ended up buying a ScanTool OBDLink MX for 70$ and downloaded Forscan App on my iPhone for 5$ and it works just as good if not better cause Forscan is designed for Fords and has so many things you can do...some scanners just arent worth the $......
if you have a windows computer ( I have a MAC) you can hook it up directly through that and do even more with Forscan on the computer using Windows...its all Wifi, I leave it plugged in all the time, simple to connect and use...cant complain here is a link for the OBD WiFi and you can read about Forscan plentyon the interwebs...have also heard great reviews with torque pro too tho...
