7.3 low boost

Hey everyone I just made this profile because Ive found myself at lost with my truck I have a 2000 7.3 i just put the single shot full force diesel injectors on 180/30% will I had the truck part I also did a wicked wheel 2 plus the ats housing with the injectors I put a hydra chip on with full force diesels tunes the truck already had a 4 inch exhaust from the turbo back. Now for my problem I had the edge evolution on the truck before the injectors I was getting around 21 pounds of boost in a 1/4 mile run but now with the new set up I stood on my truck from a stop sign and the highest boost I got was 4.9 plus it doesn't really smoke a lot like once the turbo hits peak boost which is not very high the smoke stops almost like a defueling but the truck still acclerates just not very hard I'm wondering if anyone could help right now I feel like I spend 2500 dollars to make my truck slower

Did you get all the clamps on snug when you put it all back together? Don't overtighten on the plenums unless you have reinforced them with upgraded ones, but sounds like you may have loose fitting(s) somewhere. If you're certain everything is snug, you can make a boost leak detector and blow shop air into the system, then spray simple green from a spray bottle on the common areas for boost to leak to find where you may be losing some.

Welcome to the forum btw. If you need to better target the experts on our trucks, check out the diesel forum.

Sounds like your MAP line was overlooked. Does it have a good solid connection without leaks? Is the tinnerman nut on the IPR?

I wouldn't think the IC pipe, but maybe the thin, aged, stock boots. RR sells a nice replacement setup that are more durable. That's what I'll go with when mine need replacing, which won't be too much longer as I'm starting to see cracking on the ends after the clamp. Chasing boost leaks could be frustrating without doing a DIY boost leak test

With no smoke, the injectors are just not delivering fuel for some reason - and a disconnected MAP is one possible root cause. Another possible cause is the ICP sensor is lying to the PCM. What happens if you unplug the ICP sensor and drive the truck?

Yes it will, it will default to a number that will make the truck run, just not a good as it would with a properly working sensor. The ICP sensor is located on driver's side head adjacent to the fuel bowl.

Could the ats and wicked wheel combo be to much for my 16 year old actuator ? Because there is no difference between the red wire being plugged in or not

The lack of smoke says there is no air problem - there is an applied fuel problem. Do you have an OBDII tool (link in my signature) to look at ICP and IPR?
