I have an 05' that is starting to get the "rattling" sound inside/outside the muffler. I've been online trying to see what is out there for replacements. I've noticed the OEM Walker Muffler replacement seems to be what I am looking for. Just wondering if anyone has purchased the Walker muffler from O'reilly's or a parts store. I am not into loud sounds but, I am not opposed to a little noise or other suggestions for a muffler replacement.
I just replaced my stock muffler with a Magnaflow today, and it has a real nice low note.. Some may want louder, but go with a straight pipe, you'll be more than loud! I had an F350 V10 with a straight pipe. I put an Aero Turbine 3030XL on it and it was pretty good. A little higher note than the Magnaflow, and also a little louder.
Here is a sound clip of my '05 V-10 EX with the stock muffler vs the Aeroturbine 3030XL. I do have Banks headers but the balance of the exhaust is stock besides the 3030XL of course.
I put one of the Walker stainless steel units on. Sounds very much like stock...
Didn't know these were available - Excursion V10 - Walker 54485 Quiet-Flow stainless steel.
I'm good with stock sound and prefer stainless whenever I can find it.
It's also direct fit with the proper hangers.
$104 on ebay or $111 at Amazon.
$87.20 with 5% discount code on Rockauto. Plus shipping, of course.

Which is $17 to CA, so $104.
I don't think RockAuto charges sales tax on shipments to CA.
The ebay one sold, the next lowest is $110 w/shipping from Summit.
Just a quick check about the "rattle." Might not be your actual muffler but could be the welded connections around it.
I've had to get my seams welded several times due to it breaking around the seal at the pipes that go into the muffler. Which causes it to rattle. Also, had a broken hanger that was vibrating against a pipe which caused a ugly rattle.
Crawl under with a flashlight and check all your pipe and muffler welds. Make sure you don't have any thin spots or broken mounts.
I"m not trying to keep you from getting a new muffler if that's what you want.
But you may not need one.
