I recently bought an 06 F250 6.8L. I must say that trading my 04 6.0L was the best thing I have done in a long time. My question is this. I want to change the sound of the truck and make it sound a little more like a V10 instead of a V6. What would be the best way to do that without spending too much money for stuff I don't really need or want. Thanks in advance
Swap out the stock muffler with a FM70 BB2 or FM50 BB muffler. Only cost is for the muffler and possibly a short piece of pipe to make up for the difference in length compared to the stock muffler.
best thing to do is change that god forsaken y-pipe along with a muffler.
Aeroturbine (or whatever their name is now) seems to be a pretty good choice as far as sound and overall performance. A V10 Excursion owner has one on his truck and loves it. In fact, his sound clip is on their website.
i just listened to that sound clip. its amazing. i completely support that aero turbine muffler. i really wanna post a sound clip of my exhaust somewhere because i dont think anybody has my setup, or my sound, but you never know.

Actually the '05-'08 have a redesigned y-pipe that is pretty good as OEM. The '99-'04...is the one we are usually talking about that could be improved.
gf350 -- I second the FM70 series muffler, but the Aeroturbine does sound pretty sweet!
