@fordslut: ...some well educated and intelligent people act as if they didn't have a brain . The world could be much easier... I think I'll have a beer now.
it was a wise man who once said, "beer is good" I think it was kid rock.
some news from my "new" engine! Tim McMaster alias the Y-block-guy is almost through with the rebuilt. Looks great (see pics). The engine will soon run in a motor-test-stand (brake in) and afterwards starts its long journey across the pond. Hope to get it in January. I also bought ramshorn exhaust manifolds and a dual exhaust system from speedway-motors to have it shipped in the crate with the motor. Not sure if I'll install that exhaust system directly with the motor or give it a try with the stock crossover-single exhaust system. But I'm tending to the dual exhaust . I'll keep you updated!
Tim will secure the motor safely into a crate. As long as there's no hurrican passing the way of the container vessel or the name of the vessel is 'RMS Titanic' everthing is fine
That is beautiful. I'm a stock guy, but I would recommend the dual exhaust. Well.....the crossover pipe is unique..... Maybe you should keep it that way.
Whatever you go with, it will be beautiful.
I would go crazy having to wait that long for it to make it across the ocean.
well -to keep myself away from chewing my fingernails, I decided to start working on the truck, that will keep me busy until the motor arrives here .
I need to replace the steering box and there are some other minor things to do and adjustment to make. Since the days become shorter, the weather colder and wet - the driving season seems to be over for the year. Time to start working...
Beautiful, you will find it difficult to keep the big grin off your face cruising down the highway the first time Rico, dual exhaust is the song of my people.
