Hey Gang;
My rig is a 2013 5.0 extended cab. Seems to me that there is some "wasted space" at the front end between the bumper/grille and the radiator. I'm thinking that some sheet metal/expanded metal work or maybe some fiberglass formed to fit that the space could make a neat storage area for stuff like jumper cables, an emergency road side kit and other stuff. I'm open to ideas/input. Thanks.
Thanks for the input fellas...to clarify, I certainly agree that blocking air flow to the radiator wouldn't be a good idea. I'll elaborate...my idea would be to use that lower "well" area up TO the level of the radiator. As usual, open to ideas and input. Thanks.
You can fit a fair amt of stuff in there with the proper support underneath and without blocking air flow. I use it for fluids and jugs- things I don't want leaking into my floorboard or toolbox- like plain water, windshield washer fluid, etc. Works fine, go for it.
