Radiator Air Deflectors 4.9L
I'm trying to ensure that my engine fan is pulling the air through the air conditioning condenser and the radiator.
On the top, there's two rubber air deflectors. They're the F4TZ8327D parts (#4 in the photo below). Not sure why #4 is put at the bottom of the picture, but they go on top of the radiator support to "seal" the gap between the support and the top of the radiator.
It appears that there is also #5 that is the air deflector at the bottom. I don't think my truck has the piece. I think it is part number F2TZ8327B. It looks like I'll need to hunt around the JY to find one.
My question for FTE is, was there any sort of seal between the condenser and the radiator on the left and right sides? Its pretty drafty in those gaps so when I'm sitting at a stop, the fan isn't pulling any air through the condenser. I was thinking of stuffing in some sort of foam weatherstripping in that gap.
Thanks in advance.

I don't rember seeing the left and right condenser to radiator seals on my trucks, but they could have them.
As for using foam, that would help but not last long unless its designed for that application. I too was looking at sealing up those areas on my 89 F250 but never did as I get ice cubes from the ac ducts so I never went further that looking.
Now the bottom seal is a must as it keeps road crap from getting between the condenser and radiator.

Between the condensor and radiator you could use that silver heat tape. It's a cheap solution. If not figure out a way with a small strip off sheet metal.
Also I have that number 5 on my truck. It is a piece of rubber or soft plastic that goes from the core support to the bumper. It could be made better if wanted. (Kinda cheap looking from the factory)
