it all depends. what kind of music do you listen to? how much are you looking to spend? how much space do you want to take up? also remeber youll probably need an amp for the subs sotake that in account. let me know and ill see if i can help alittle more
i got two rockford fosgate punch he 10"s for 105 apiece and a kenwood 800watt stereo amp for 175. hits hard as hell in sealed boxes in my ext cab 90 f150
even raising rear seat bearly leaves amps under there room to breath. a fan and an extra battery my help cool them off.
I say forget back seat and just put your box on it.
i put a kit to raise my seat but even with the extra 4.5" i couldnt fit .7 cft boxes under the seat. i keep them vertical behind the seat and they are pretty well concealed.
I'll probably get some hell for this but I didn't believe it either till I heard it. If you're on a budget try the Hollywood Excursion subs. I go 2 10s under the seat of my 02 F150 supercab and it sounds great. I got 2 double voice coil 10s for under 50 bucks. The box was another story, I got the custom made box that is supposed to be $120, but got it down to $60. Visonic subs are also good if you can find them on sale, a friend found 2 12" Visonic subs for $35 each and has been winning the local sound off comps.
