DTE - Normal vs Towing

DTE - Normal vs Towing
I am fixin' to start a 7000 mile road trip pulling my travel trailer and I am wondering what the difference is of using the Normal or Tow setting on the DTE. Any thoughts or experience with the Tow setting? Thanks for any input.

All it's doing is modifying the distance to empty based on the current conditions, how much fuel your burning, being in tow/haul, throttle position equals fuel consumption. Probably a much higher reliance on instant mileage vs over the last several tanks and driving conditions.

Personally, as full time RVers, we just went ahead and set it to towing. Just one less screen to go find when we're preparing to hitch. Even when the DTE set for towing, we're still seeing DTEs of 700+ after filling the tank & running solo. David
