Anybody know what could cause a banging on most bumps, especially at high freeway speeds, coming from the left front of my 2002 4x4 crew?
Off Road my truck ain't.
Sounds like there's no shock, but the dealers say "THERE"S NOTHING WRONG."
Hey, my 1993 Chevy never made any noise like that, and I abused that puppy.

I'd check all control arm bolts and the track bar bolts, if your truck has them, to make sure they are tight. A loose track bar can make some nice noises.
All looks as if it's OK. The only thing I see is where the leaf sping mounts on the truck.
The leaf spring "bent end" raps around the mount, but it seems to have lots of play between the "bend" and the mount.
I also saw some wear marks above the bend.
Maybe the leaf spring "bend" is striking the area above the mount in it's little pocket.
I think they're called military wraps or something to that effect. You're talking about the second leaf wrapping around the front spring bushing and around the main leaf? Is that right? If it's been hitting then this could well be the cause of the noise.
PS the purpose of this design is to keep the truck up if you break the main leaf. Otherwise it would end up on the bump stop. My brother broke one once.
