2015 Lariat CCSB. 22k miles. Stock. Same issue, whether the hubs are locked or unlocked . It only happens on particular turns, though it's hard to get the conditions just right (speed and rate of increase of turn) to study effectively. I suspect, based on the frequency of the vibration / noise that it is, in fact, the (stability control system causing the) ABS system to activate in response to the anti-skid computer. My foot is not near the brake at these times, so I am guessing the computer is gently dragging an inside rear wheel to reduce (barely perceptible to me) understeer.
I don't know if any scanner tools record the stability control subsystems (it would be helpful to see that stability control is intervening at the time of the noise) but I'm guessing that's the source of this symptom. Having said that, the truck has exhibited absolutely no ill effects from this, so I've been treating it as a consequence of a normally functioning system.
Best,
Dan
100% normal. It is the ABS system working. This system does a lot more than just keep your tires from locking up. It tries to keep your truck under control if the least bit of tire slippage is felt. When going to my in laws, there is a 90* turn banked the wrong way and my truck does it every time right there unless I'm down to a crawl. I had experienced it a few other times in certain situations, but rarely. After installing the 37x12.50's, I thought I was getting some slight rub pulling into my driveway and other places fairly often. After a while, I figured out it was the same thing happening, guess the bigger wider tires just amplify it a bit.

What surprises me is that this characteristic of the stability control system apparently isn't known to the Ford Service Department. Numerous trips to the service reps by me and others go unresolved. If this is a normal issue over several model years I would think Ford would get the word out to their technicians and save both them and us a lot of bother.
Your description is spot on.... it is difficult to duplicate a reoccurrence of the noise since it is dependent on speed, grade, and steering angle. I haven't heard anyone else mention hill descent mode or hill start assist, but I occasionally get the exact same noise during those events as well. ABS certainly explains it.
Monitoring. We recently bought a 2015 F-350 CCLB DRW, 57,000mi, but only 4x2. Front suspension makes noise when turning the wheels while stationary/low speeds. Also makes a slight noise when releasing brakes at stops.
We've owned a 7.3 4x4 Excursion and a '77 F-350, but never had similar noise. I was slightly concerned, but I thought it could also be the weight of the front end/motor on the wheels. This ABS/hill assist sounds like it may be the culprit, but we always get the noise, even when flat.

as described above, simply turn off the traction conttol and see if the noise disappears.
You can’t turn off the hill assist; i can feel it in my 2011 even on slight inclines. Short little buzzing.
