I'm not claiming the balancers are different, FoMoCo is.
Holy crap that's rich!
You basically call me a liar and that my knowledge is BS and then say "Well, it wasn't me, it was FomoCo".
Stick to reciting crap from your parts catalogs and refrain from telling others that they are full of crap because you clearly have no clue outside of what you read in a book.
[QUOTE=NumberDummy;17178162]I was a Ford parts guy for 35 years, so I know what I'm talking about.

Bill,
I am confused. You very clearly said that that others were wrong and that the balancers are different when responding to a question if they are interchangeable?
You responded in red and said the info that was given by someone else was crap and incorrect.
Please inform us what makes this response crap and incorrect which you felt necessary to say.
Went to the UPS store and picked up my care package from Summit. The Dorman harmonic balancer is actually spec'd for 80-95, but appears identical to the one I took off. I installed it today, and it seems fine.
I also bought a timing tape. The scale is a hair off, but I centered it at 14 degrees BTDC. Next time I break out the timing light, I'll take another looksie.
