429 internal or external balance

429 internal or external balance
I just acquired a 68 429 thunderjet and was wondering if these motors are internally balanced like the pre 79 460's. I would like to use my clutch and flywheel I already have for a pre 79. I have many 460's but this is the first 429 is the rpm range about the same?

460's.1979: The block casting number with the weighted spacer (external balance) is D9TE-6015-AB
1971/79: The block casting numbers without the weighted spacer (internal balance) are: D1VE-6015-AB -AB1 -AB2
The flexplates and harmonic balancers are specific to internal or external balance.
Last year for 460's in Passenger Cars was 1978, so they are not affected.
Ford did not offer the 460 with a manual trans until 1983, ditto 4WD.

I have an 87' motorhome with a 460 in it, so what casting # would that might have on it? The motor home only has $19 thousand + on it. Been setting for a long time. I drive it around once or twice a yr. Great place for visiters to stay.

Thanks for the #. Yes its original. I'm the second owner. Got it from the first owner when it was 4 yrs old. He never took it out much and neither did I. Always planned on touring with it but I did most of my touring on a motor bike so that RV never got out much.
