Hey all, had the same winter issues with freeze up and used prestone. seemed to work on and off. Now it's 60 outside and my washers don't work at all. Tried listening for pump motor when my wife pressed the button, but nothing. Can't find a fuse for it in the manual, any idea's?
Well, the manual lists a whole page full of tests for an inoperative washer pump but my money would be on a pump that froze up in the winter and is now toast. Once you get to the washer pump (you need to remove the RF wheel and fender splash shield) you can use a cheapo test light to check for voltage to the pump. Might as well pick up a new pump before you start to save time.
Reservoir have liquid in it?
Can you hear the pump run?
Do other functions on the switch work?
Check valve broken or plugged?
Hood nozzles plugged with wax or dirt?
Pump or check valve should be covered if the truck is under warranty. Remainder would be owner responsibility.
