Hello All,
FTP, LTL
I picked up a '72 F100 a few weeks ago. Looking to add front disk brakes. I've located a '77 F350 parts truck and have a few questions. Will the F350 beams fit under my F100? Will I be able to mount a 5 lug hub/rotor on the spindle, replacing the 8 lug?
If your doing a Dentside disc/front suspension swap on a Bumpside F100, you need the front discs/suspension from a '73-'79 F100 or a '75-'79 F150.
....If you found a '75-'79 factory front swaybar from an F100 - F350 Dentside, it would be best to get a front suspension from a '75-'79 F100/F150. The forward ends of the radius arms are configured with a notch in them that engages with the pins on the swaybar endlink brackets. '67-'74 radius arms don't have this provision on them for the endlink brackets --although the material is there to modify '74 model radius arms.
I've done the disc brake swap twice, once on my own '69 F100 and on a friend's '72 F100.
