Hi i recently purchased a 50' F47 and am curious about the heater in the truck. Is it factory? The hoses are in stock location and has the stock heater **** but the heater does not say ford anywhere. Only says EADELUXE
Any info on this unit would be very helpful, thanks
Far as I know Ford didn't make one with their brand name, and if you wanted one it was dealer installed. My truck has a Harrison heater, I've seen Magic Air but neaver a EADELUXE..... looks to be in good shape, does it work?
Ya it works fine defrost has little air flow but will look into it and try to get that working better. They must have used what ever they could get at the time
There were many aftermarket heaters on the market at that time. Heaters were an add on accessory.
Yes there were. Was it cheaper for a new truck owner to buy one at Western Auto or JC Whitney than from the Ford Dealer?
for the 54-56 trucks there were two Ford heaters one could buy, the recirculating and The "Fresh Air" heater. 1953 trucks had a different heater. I think they were still using the 48-52 heaters. Our man First rider is the resident heater expert for 48-52 trucks, and probably beyond, so he might know.
