I think i found my abs problem. Not sure yet, need some advise.
About a year ago I replaced my left front hub. So thats where I looked today (still on the stand). I pulled the ABS sensor at the hub and looked inside. I see a geared ring and thought I'd turn the hub to see if there was anything that looked dirty. When I put in a small screw driver and noticed that I could turn the ring without the hub (wheel) turning. I slid the ring inboard and it lock to the hub and when I pushed it outward it turned freely.
Did I assemble it incorrectly? Is the hub defective? I dont think there was anything there to assemble.
Anyone help with this.
That phaser ring is suppose to be pressed to the hub internally. Nothing you did wrong. The high teeth is what the sensor picks up. And the hubs are not serviceable so unless you can carefully attempt to put it in place you'll be buying another one.

Now when you mean carefully put it back into place. Could I simply turn the hub wheel slowly and try to pry it inboard a little at a time till it seats or is it not worth the time because it will just come off soon after.
Anyway I just took the truck out for a drive with hard braking while I turn the wheel to the right. I do believe that that was my problem all along.
Thanks guys for all the suggestion and help I got.
I'll try to pry it back in slowly and in the mean time look for a replacement.
Anyone got a good supplier with quality wheel hubs?
Stick a Timken back in there. Get one off Amazon that is a "crash and dent" special(if they have them in stock), in other words someone ordered the wrong one and sent it back, but they can't sell as new.
I did this last month and it saved me around $40.
At any rate, I've always stuck with Timkens, JMHO..........pretty sure they are still American made, I have heard some use Korean bearings which by the way are NOT to be confused with china made crap.
