So I got this bronco 2 the other day it's an 88 with the push button 4x4 and auto tranny it's just my woods beater the roof is cut off and there's no fenders on it I got it running but can't get it to go in to 4x4 nothing lights up and does not sound like the transfer case is doing anything is there any way I can just hard wire the motor on the transfer case to shift it or shift it manually

 

I dont know if it is anything like the F series trucks, but on those, you can take the 4x4 actuator off and manually turn the Tcase to whatever position you want. They are even labeled on some of them under the motor. Take it off and try to turn it by hand.
