There should be a little clip in the rod from the pedestal that keeps the ball (on the lever connected to the exhaust outlet) connected together. I can see if I can get a picture when I get home later tonight.

Hmm well I've actually never put it back together, I've just taken it off twice for when I had my motors out.
I think the clip should kinda snap over the ball portion of the outlet rod so you should be able to feel it semi snap into place. I could be wrong though.
