64 F-250 Engine Removal

I am planning on doing a engine swap for another 292 out of another truck. Where would be good mounting points to put in studs for the chain and I am not planning on taking the transmission out.

If you have a carb lift plate you can use the carb mounting studs. Although proven effective, I'm personally more comfortable witht the larger bolts that mount the intake to the heads....not the short ones at the back and not the center ones that hold the cups, but one in each of four corners. That should give you a pretty stable vertical lift without the trans.

Suggest beg, borrow, or rent a 'load leveler', particularly if removal requires tilting the engine to clear the radiator support. If so, agree with resonateur attach to the intake or exhaust manifold bolts using spare bolts and large heavy duty washers?
