Hello F.T.E.'s,
I would like to ask which Power Steering Gear Box IS THE BEST for My 1966 Ford F250 Pick Ups ???, and where is the best place to purchase this outright ???
I have one that is past repair and it needs to be replaced and I have seen a little info. that suggests that it would be best to use A Power Steering Gear Box from A 1976 Ford F250 Pick Up and I'd like to more more / as much as I can particularly as I'm here in Melbourne, Australia ( and approx. 4 Years ago I've was "taken for a ride from an E-bay seller !!! ).
Cheers and Best Regards
Graeme...
N.B. Both of My 1966 F250 Pick Ups are USA / Left Hand Drive Trucks.
Good evening Graeme:
Not many of us up right now. I'm in Cambodia.
Best? My answer is a replacement of the original. This guy did a great job on my Bendix: Steering Solutions
I can't say he has one on the shelf though.

ps Weren't you looking for a crewcab?
Most people that are doing the conversion from manual steering say to go with the Ford/Saginaw box from later years. That's what I did on my 66 F100. But, this means either swapping out or shortening your steering column, and searching out the correct pitman arm and tie rods to make it all work together on your truck. There is a pitman arm that would allow you to keep your current tie rods with the later steering box, but it's only from 69.5-71 trucks. It was hard for me to find in the US, so finding it in Australia might be even harder. If I was in your situation, with a worn out Bendix box, I might consider getting it rebuilt or finding a replacement one. It would certainly save you a lot of work.
