I would check clutch adjustment as Ross suggests first as that is the easiest. Your clutch pedal should depress about 1" before engaging the throwout bearing. Then replace the transmission fluid and finally if you are still having problems you probably have a rough pilot bearing. This is common on trucks that have sat unused for a while. Or it can get damaged on transmission installation. Who know? It is always a good idea to replace it when doing the clutch replacement. You can try to diagnose it by removing the transmission floor cover in the cab and then the small inspection cover on top of the bell housing. See red part in picture below. Then spray some WD40, Kroil, PB Blaster or whatever light lube you prefer onto the transmission shaft. Try not to get too much on the clutch surface. If that help then it is the pilot bearing and the trans will have to come back out to replace it. Not having any effect doesn't mean that the pilot bearing is OK. This light lube is only a temporary diagnostic procedure and not a permanent fix.
