Splash Guards (aka molded mud flaps)

Installed a set of splash guards on the truck - theyre made by WeatherTech...

NO DRILL (they use existing fastener holes....hopefully theyll keep this thing a little cleaner in the rain/spray.

I've already pained the stainless steel Phillips head screws black (w/ a paint pen).

Ordered my truck with the factory Ford molded mud flaps. Out of curiosity I would be interested in knowing which manufacturer offers the longest molded flap for the most protection against rock chips

Did the same as you, super easy install and also painted screws black.

Can you post a full picture Bushpilot?

Bushpilot-Can you post a full picture of the truck from a couple different angles? I'd like to see them with the retracting step!

I kind of like the basic and cleaner look of the aftermarket ones BUT I still can't decide if I even want splash guards on the truck! They look so clean without them.

I'd love NOT to need them - but I figure between the road grime, rain spray and sand - maybe they'll save the paint.

When I bought my F150 it had heavy flaps on it. I took them off as soon as I got home. It's been fine for 4 years...

In Texas you can not register your truck without rear mud flaps.

Installed the WeatherTech flaps on my KR about a year ago and I'm pleased with 'em. The fixed running boards also helps deflect rocks thrown off the front tires ... was the main reason I opted against the retractables.
