2014 Ford F150 back up camera problem

Any suggestions on diagnosing back up camera problem?
Sometimes its fine 10% blue screen 10% reverse camera shot 25% rapid blinking 50%

same intermittent problem - more like 20% blue screen, 75% camera shot, 5% blink-then blank. Usually corrects with multiple reshift to reverse, but it pretty much has to be in the wiring or camera (if it was the shift switch or display it wouldn't be in the right mode to tell me there was a problem; if it was the fuse, it wouldn't work intermittently). Blue screen says camera unavailable. Sadly warranty is expired. Guess I'll need to check the connectors.

I would say connectors and probably on the tailgate side. That connector would get moved the most with opening and closing the tailgate and probably the dirtiest if you use your truck for hauling anything dirty.

Good point. That reminds that a recent service at the dealer included freeing a sticking tail latch and hinges (hauling horses is pretty dirty - dusty anyway). Could have loosened connections. I hope this isn't the start of - bust one thing to fix another; that could be a long road. Thanks.
