Hey guys im noticing a very consistent brake squeal on my 17 F250 6.7. Its at very slow speeds in both foward in reverse. Very slow speeds like backing into or out of parking space like 3 mph or under. Don't notice it all at higher speeds. I called my dealer and he said I should bring it in because there is probaly a brake issue. He said very slow speed squeal is where it will start because the frequency is usually too high to hear at higher speeds. I did look at the rotors did not see any gouging or roughness, no stuck rocks everything looks normal and the brakes work fine and there is no excess dust. Have you guyd experienced this or have any thoughts. Probably gonna drop it off on friday and keep u posted. Thx. Oh btw i have 7800 miles on it
Mine squeaks a little also. It was really annoying when we were rock crawling in Moab. I have it on my list to check into as it is not consistent on mine.

EXCELLENT! Off roading in your Super Duty! Can you post some pics of your SD in action? I'd like to see your truck with 37's
The brakes "groan" when holding the brake pedal and shifting from drive to reverse and reverse to drive. Every other Super Duty I've owned has always done this as well. I think it is the sudden torque applied. If the brakes are pushed very hard, it doesn't do it. I don't really care.
But mine squeak / squeal sometimes at low speeds, too. I've noticed while backing out of my driveway. Only does it occasionally. Mine has 7800 miles on it, too. Not bothering me enough to take it in yet.
I took it to dealer this morning they drove it and they noticed the squeal. They asked if I go anywhere dirty/dusty or muddy because my husky floor liners had quite a bit of caked on dust and mud. I said yes,my truck visits construction job on a regular basis and does drive in dusty and muddy conditions depending on the weather. The tech thinks the squeal is caused by dust building up and caking on the brake pads. They offered to take apart the front brakes and clean and re grease the pins and do an inspection to confirm there was not a safety issue. I agreed and 2 hours later they where done. They did not see any other problems beside some caked on brake dust.
They think that it will take care of the problem for now but if I keep driving the truck on dusty and muddy condition the problem might re occur and he said if it does occur its not a safety issue and I would need to pay out of pocket to re-clean and re inspect the brake pads. I probably wont bring it in if it happens again because I really did not find the squeal that annoying can't even hear it with the windows up but I did want to confirm it was not something more serious.
Just got mine back from the dealer. They ended up replacing the front pads. Squeak was pretty bad for only 3000 miles on them. Hopefully the squeal is gone for good!
They also replaced the forward center console sliding cover because it wouldn't close when you pushed it in. Not a show stopper for sure, but for $80k... come on man!
Cover still sticks by the way.
Guess I'll live with it.
A possible quick fix is to spray some brake parts cleaner on the pads and rotate the tire. You don't have to dismount the tire/wheel from the truck. Heck you can do this without even jacking it up. Just have someone drive while you spray. Just be careful to only spray on the rotor/pads. Brake parts cleaner can take paint off.
This will only "clean" the outside pad. The inside is a more difficult to do. Don't try to spray the inside pad while the vehicle is moving.
Some years ago my 1/2 ton truck's brakes started to squeal badly. It turned out that the wheel cleaner I was using was the culprit. I removed all the pads, sanded off the glaze and never heard them squeal again.
