Squeeling noise
Hey guys, I've got a problem, my truck sometimes while driving usually under 30 MPH will make a metal on metal squeel, its very annoying and embarassing, and i've taken off both front wheels, it seems to be coming from the Right Front Brake, but my dad and I took it off numerous times and it didn't have anything on the calipar or the brake pads, there both fine. And no score marks on the Rotor. And he put disc brake quite and brake parts cleaner on it, this was about 2 weeks ago, and last nite it did it again, I took of the left wheel this time and the brake pad was about 3-4 smaller than the other one. Could it be that? Its very annoying and its a high pitch metal on metal scream, could anyone have any ideas. Thanks very appreciated if anyone responds.

sounds like the wear indicator is touching the rotor. you said you have some more wear on one pad than others, so you might want to go look at a new set of pads and compare to yours for a gauge of the wear you have.

Well guys i figured out my problem, it was the wheel bearings, that had discentigrated down so bad that the rubbed against the inside of the rotor, I'm glad it was a easy fix, but its glad to know what the problem. So if you guys ever have a noise like that check the bearings to make sure you have enough of them in there.
