Trans. question
1986 Areostar 2.8 lit. A4LD trans. with overdrive. My question is if the trans. pump is bad would you still have some gears or would all gears be dead ?
The reason why I’m asking is I just rebuilt the trans. but I don’t want to touch the pump because they say to get it back together you need a “Pump alignment tool” that cost’s $100.00. I still had the drive gear when I pulled it and if the pump was bad I don’t think I would have any.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
