Nice job! It would have been a good time to replace that flat down pipe with the 3 inch round one when you had the tranny out. It still can be done, as it is one of the most bang for you buck mods you can do,

 

Nice, do you have any links on the mods or parts? Much of a performance difference overy the round vs the flat?

Don't have any numbers, but anything you can do to increase the air in and air out is good.

 

To answer your question -Yes put in an extra qt of fluid. It will help some but in the end you will still have some gear noise. You will learn to drive in a way not to make as much noise but it will still be there. ( I really do not know why the noise )

 

For that price, I wish I knew about it, I would have done it.....

Good to know, I just want to make sure I'm not over servicing the tranny by doing so.

Also, that "gear roll" isn't damaging anything is it?

I have never heard of any damage. Just annoying . I have kept an extra qt in my trans for at least 100,000 so I don't think over service is an issue. Try the extra qt see if it helps.
