Here you go Gary! Think i got it fugured out. Posting from my iPad didn't make it as user friendly as i had hoped. Once again thanks for the warm welcome. New to the site and learning, guess we all have a learning curve just didn't know mine was that sharp. I do apologize
No problem! That plug goes to the solenoid to purge the vapor canister, where gas fumes from the tank and the air cleaner are stored. When the engine is running the solenoid opens a valve and the fumes are sucked into the intake and burned.
The factory one of coarse... I'm planning on making a trip to parts world in Roosevelt ok and am going to try to get what I need to get this back to factory
No, the other part of the circuit would be in the engine wiring harness. Look for a plug with a red/yellow wire hanging loose.
As for the air cleaner, you can read my thoughts about them here: Air Cleaners - ???Gary's Garagemahal. The short version is that you need to find one from a salvage.
I'm in SW ok. Lawton ok. Roosevelt was a huge help when I was redoing my 84 f150 a few year back. If you have never been to Roosevelt you need to check it out. Google earth it and look how huge it is. Very reasonable on prices
I'll be going there the first week of may. Send me a pic of the kind you want I will look around for you. It's a "you pull the part yard" so even they even don't know what all they have. You tell them the year make and model and they point you to the part of town they are in. The old high school is full of engines ands transmissions and there is an old gas station that is full of grilles and front ends. It's crazy. Like I said worth the drive. When I go I will for sure take pics of the Ford truck sections and post them so everyone can have an idea of what they have.

I'll post a pic of the instrument bezel tomorrow, and that's what I'm wanting to match. Thanks!
