Putting the new sending unit in my fuel tank and not sure which way the float goes in. My best guess would be as in picture #1. There were no instructions and this newbie was left scratching his head Thanks

Thanks merten! You are right. Neither one of my pictures are correct. Directions definitely help I ordered the fuel tank and sending unit from MAC and they did not include instructions. This mid-fifty one looks just like it. Thanks again
