I apologize if this has been started before, but a quick search showed nothing!
I would like to start a thread that basically archives various wheel and tire combinations; this allows folks like me who are looking for new wheels and tires, to see how what we may be looking for looks on these trucks!
You can show off anything you've got, be it stock wheels, aftermarket, newer Ford truck wheels, older Ford truck wheels, etc!
I'll start:
These are some 16" (not sure of widths as I got these with the truck) MB wheels sitting on 235/85R16 Michelin LTX M/S2s.
Not the biggest fan of these at all, so I'm looking forward to see what others are running!
I have always put aftermarket wheels on my vehicles but these stock wheels just look perfect to me. They aren't going anywhere.
These are 31" Fuel wheels on my last build. The reason I posted them is because to me they look pretty rugged while being nice looking IMO.
Your truck needs a rugged wheel since it makes a size statement. A spoke like wheel would not be my choice. At some point if you go bigger tires you will need a body lift. A 1 1/2" level kit made my truck look better to me. It is not on in the pic. Your truck looks better than I thought with the side molding removed. I really like the look. You have a great canvas for wheels etc.
It looks much cleaner, doesn't it! I'm so happy with how it turned out.
I do love those fuel wheels, but I agree that this thing calls for a rugged looking wheel; honestly I love the stock steelies, but I can't seem to find a set around here.
I want to go for some larger tires too, for sure; not necessarily super wide, but tall. Think CUCV, knobby, skinny tires.
That is a LOVELY XJ. I've always had a thing for those since I was a kid and wanted to get one to compliment my '97 TJ, but I inherited a '98 Durango from my grandfather which I've since passed on to my dad, so no need for another SUV when I can always borrow that one.
We had a 2WD ZJ that ended up being a lemon, which is unfortunate because the ZJ and XJ are the best Grand Cherokee and Cherokee body styles respectively, to date.
The paint color on the XJ is the same as the 2014 Ram in the F150 background. They looked pretty cool sitting side by side. There are no stock steelies around here either. I thought these were shot since I don't think the PO, who bought it new, never washed them. #4 steel wool and about an hour each and they popped.
I'm satisfied with the 8 spoke with original rings and caps that came on my 89 F150 from the factory. I tried some others, and came back to these later. Nostalgic, I guess.
Thanks, Azryael. He was wearin' these when I got it.
No problem!
Yeah, I don't necessarily dig the slanted spoke design on these older trucks.

Those look great!
Problem I've discovered for 1-tons is that a lot of attractive wheels only end up being 5 or 6 lugs
But I have to admit that the new tires made my current wheels look so much better.
What's killing me now is the offset; slight rubbing on the shackles at full lock.

I know what you mean. When I put those rims back on I went to 31 x 10.50-15s from the stock 235/75-15s. Now I also get a slight rub on the radius arms at full lock. Not serious enough to worry about though.

Yeah, for more I'm a little worried about it because I don't wanna chew up my nice tires prematurely!
My Wrangler TJ has a steering stop behind the hubs on both sides, and I simply added two washers to bring it out to stop the rubbing when I went up to 31"x10.5" on it.
