o2 sensor! 1994 f150
been having ongoing issues with needing to replace my 02 sensor every couple of months.
this is the latest scenario.
changed MAF and 02
next day starts with the lack of acceleration, almost stalling etc. this is my usual "time to replace my o2 sensor" symptoms
took it to garage to get a read on obd1
mechanic cant get a read, says ECU is probably the issue.
install new ECU
same problem with drivability.
take it back for a read.
still no communication with obd1
reinstall original MAF- no change
unplug 02 sensor- suddenly obd gets a read. the read is of course indicating 02 sensor problem. engine runs fine with 02 disconnected.
nobody can seem to solve why this is consistently happening with my sensor.
im very novice, but doing my best to self educate. realy could use some new clues!
secondary issues exist that are electrical- no radio power and no airbag or horn.
all fuses are fine.
if anyone has any ideas id really appreciate it!!!!
thanks

Have you always owned this truck or is it something you bought recently?
I changed the o2 sensor. Running better then ever. Here's where I think I went wrong-
I did not disconnect the battery when I installed the new computer. So this time I disconnected the computer for several hours, changed 02, put new maf back in, reconnected battery and turned key halfway for a few seconds before starting it up. Then let it idle and learn. No longer having occasional misfire. Strange thing happened as well- dead da Tory radio ejected cassette somewhere in the process. Pretty sure radio issue and airbag issue are strictly electrical ground. That's what my flashing airbag code is saying anyway. New computer making a huge difference. I can feel it compensating while driving. Actually adjusting fuel consumption. Mileage is better too. Fingers crossed
