Speed Limiter
I have a diablo delta sport chip in my 97 Ford-150 4.2L. I could raise the speed limiter by way of the chip, but I would really like to take it off completely. Hell I don't even know what part it is and I don't think they put governors on vehicles anymore. Anybodys help would be appreciated.

I have heard all about this speed limiter and expected to experience it on my truck, but when I was up in Montana a few weeks ago I got the truck up well over 100mph from what I could tell. Finally had to slow down because of a curve in the road, but she was still going strong...

Well guys I can tell you that someone told me that my F150 4.6 would have a heart attack after 90MPH. At 100+ no such thing happened. It was supposed to start sputtering not cut out. That did not happen as far as I could tell. So the question, is this speed limiter just a figment of someones Imagination or is it set higher than anyone has gone with stock equipment?

The limiter can be removed with a Diablo chip or Superchips Microtuner.
The limiter is real. The F150's have limiters at 95 and 105 mph.

I have a 98 F150 4.6 and the limiter kicks in at 105. And let me tell you on the highway that means that it runs out very quickly with the mods i have done and the tires i have. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions between the Diablo reprogrammers and the Hyper Tech ones ???
