BTW my steering gear is still in great shape after nearly 8 years and 60k miles.

Not that active on this forum but will post an update about anything worth reporting about my experience w/the Red Head steering gear box in this thread in the future.

Thought I'd just add that I got a very prompt refund of my $200 core refund.
Sent the core back on Thu 4/13, which was received by Red Head on Fri 4/14 and the refund was processed on Mon 4/20. It doesn't get much better than that. Just thought people should know in case they were worried by reports that Red Head was slow in processing the refunds in the past.
