Newer model year dash

Has anyone installed a newer model year dash in the 91- 96 body style?

Newer model of F- series or something else? The body style was from 80-86, 87-91 and 92-96(98). Maybe you fat fingered the 1 button?

Yeah. 91-96. I'm not just talking guage cluster. I'm talking like putting a complete 05 dash in a 94.

I am not aware of any swaps like that in this forum. That is a big can of worms to deal with.

IMO the '94 dash looks better than the '05. Would you just be trying to swap the dash 'shell' and keep the older wiring and cluster? The newer gauges most likely run off a bus system and wouldn't work.

The 05 dash cluster will not work with the older trucks.

It needs the CAN buss data from the 05 engine controller and/or body computer. So you will have to pretty much take the 05 engine, tranny , complete wire harness and ECU's and install it in the 94 truck.

I'm trying to find the link to the fellow that put a slick body on a late model chassis, including installing the late model dash in it. Fabulous work.

Yes, outstanding work indeed... 1966 F100 EcoBoost Engine Swap (EcoBoosted) - The Garage Journal Board

But he's basically running a 2011 F-150 with '66 F-100 sheet metal in place of the 2011 body. Trying to create some sort of hybrid setup would likely be more difficult, if not impossible.
