dash question
i have a 81 ford f150 and i am planning on either making a custom dash or going to the junkyard and pulling a metal dash out of a older ford. my question is what model trucks have metal dashes that will fit in my f150?? what else would i have to do to get this to work?? any help is appreciated

You're not gonna get an older dash that will fit...totally different body.
Your dash unit style was used until 86 or so.
You could go with a late 80s style or early 90s style.
For all the work though, I just have to ask "why?"

. i guess since i can't put another dash in ill have to make one

you might be able to put a compete 73 to 79 dash and shell inside with a lot of welding and modification work. cut the whole dash out and put another in.
