Okay you techy guru's.......my windshielf washer reservoir and pump were missing when I got my '67 F-100. I have found a reservoir and pump that will work and I have room on the inside of the driverside fender well for a nice snug fit. Problem is what wires power the windshield washer pump?
Thanks in advance for any help.......
In my '67 the stock pump and reservoir bag are mounted to the drivers side inner fender. Power is supplied by a single black wire exiting the firewall. It should be easy enough to trace the wiring from the pump switch, in the cab.
The wires to the plug could be green/black stripe (power) and black (ground), I do not have a color code for a 67 so I used a 69 instead. Hopefully it is close
Comegetsome,
Do you have a photo of your windshield setup you could post here on FTE? I would really like to see what an original setup looks like.
Thanks.
Comegetsome,
Thanks for the photos. They are a tremendous help and I am sure many others will benefit from them also. That is the first time I have seen the original setup for the bladder bag and washer motor on the '67 Ford F-100. How have you kept that bag looking so new? I have looked at a lot of trucks over the last few months and all those original bags and motors are long gone.
By the way, is that only one wire I see going into the windshield washer pump?
Thanks again. You are going to be a great asset to the FTE community.
Comegetsome,
It looks like it could be two wires wrapped going into the plug.
Would it be possible for you to take the plug off and send a pic of the configuration of the plug itself? I hope I am not being a pita.
Appreciate your help.
Thanks again.
Comegetsome,
I found my old windshield washer wire. I found it crumpled up under the power steering box. Apparently when the PSB was swapped out it got caught and pushed down. Anyway your picture told me what to look for so thanks again for the timely photos.
Everythings okay with the windshield washer now.....on to the next project.
Hey Comegetsome and Sparky,
Got it going and the washers work perfectly. Thanks for taking your time to help me. I have a photo of the reservoir I took off of a '72 F-100 for $2.00 at the junkyard and a new pump motor from the parts store and it looks like a factory setup. Photo below:

I wish I could have found one of the FoMoCo Washer Bags like Comegetsome has on his truck. I would have restored it back to original. Oh well. One more project under my belt. Now on to the the next challenge.
Thanks again fellas.
