They are basically the same engine. If you use all the 6.9 glow plugs and controller, you can use the 6.9 harness. Otherwise, you'll need to modify it or use a 7.3 harness if you want the 7.3 plugs and controller.

When I swapped my 7.3 for a 6.9, I kept the 7.3 wiring harness and GP's. The GP's thread the same into the heads, but the electrical connectors on the tops of the GP's are different between the 7.3 and 6.9.
