e4od limp - interactions with vss

Hey there, i've been browsing these forums for a while and so far they've helped me get to where i hope i can call "most of the way" to resurrecting my truck - 93 f350 7.3 CC. But now i'd like a little input before i go replacing something unnecessary. Off to the first post!

I've pulled codes, tested and replaced suspect sensors (fipl, new tach from p.o)
It's gone from 1st - hard 2nd (around 3k rpm) to shifting nicely in d2. it does still set the OD light to blink, and in OD gear i get 3 shifts, the last ending in low/higher rpm "fluttering" or going back and forth between higher and lower gear (or maybe intermittent clutch lockup?)


Now i'm feeling good about the process, like it's finally almost sorted - but i'm still throwing codes for VSS despite having speedometer working, and a nice, clean sensor. I'm wondering what the interaction between ABS and VSS is, as i do have a blown brake line in the rear, to be replaced when it stops raining.. but it hadnt caused the ABS light to trip so far as i've noticed.
i'm going to check for continuity to the VSS, any other tests i can do to determine if it is working properly, or test the ABS module(if that's even useful)?
