Cool idea - I'm thinking those are made for binders to hold heavy loads so the PJ's might be built too heavy for our trucks, but the concept would be simple to copy.
Just my opinion, but I think he may be trying to re-invent the wheel. Any trailer or flatbed truck I've ever owned or seen has no real use for the movable D ring. If there is a stake pocket, I've always found a way to use the chain hook or the strap hook, either thru the stake pocket, outside the stake pocket or at the frame of the vehicle. . ,
I guess there may be a slight bit more strength (even pull on the stake pocket) gained by using his portable device.

That is true Ray! Don't know why I didn't think of that. Back in the 70s when I worked for a lumber yard making deliveries we didn't have those fancy newfangled things! And I hauled lumber and plywood on an 8 x 14 foot bed as high as the headboard!
