this is my first post on this site and i hope i'm not screwing up.
I have a 92 f150 4wd with dual gas tanks. I've had the instrument cluster out
and can not find an anti slosh module. Can anyone tell me if the 92 has one?
I've seen them on utube but not specifically for a 92.
gas tanks always read empty.
thanks for any help.
Anti slosh module is a small card that clips into a slot on the back of the instrument cluster on some models. I have a instrument cluster out of a 94 f250 that I pulled from a jy and it doesn't have a antil slosh module. Looking at the diagrams they don't use them. Do both tanks read empty or just one? Senders or tank switch would be things to check.
Thanks guys. I'll have another quick look this morning to confirm. the front float may
have sunk to the bottom and the back tank I believe really is empty. when i pop the
caps, I can hear both pumps whirring (when they are selected) I will check out the
selector switch. the truck is actually my grand daughters and she cant afford a new
sending unit. she may just have to go to the notepad and trip odometer route. we
just had the tranny rebuilt and also have another 302 standing by with less than 100k
on it. don't really know what to look for on that selector switch as regards to the
guage, but will research it. also, i do not see anything resembling a transfer valve
on the truck frame. don't believe it uses one.
thanks for the input. if i find it, i will advise.

I think only the vans had the anti-slosh module, my F53 has one.
No you do not have a transfer valve on the truck frame.
The tank gauge sending unit and fuel pump module are tow different items. The only thing they share is a common ground, the same selector switch but different circuits through it.
The gauge sending unit will unscrew from the hanger.
ahHA....so those switches CAN go bad. I put a meter on it but wasn't
really sure what i was looking for. also good to know that i can get a
sending unit if i need to. will tackle the problem again soon and advise.
thanks a lot
