As long as they fit your application, should be able to search them for your year, just be aware that the will only opperate when locked in and also remember to disconnect and plug your vacuum hoses going to each hub and the nipple on the knuckles. Not sure if you need any added shims or not but i don't believe so
So, your "auto" hubs also can manually be locked, so, until you "need" to replace them because they don't work, why would you change them? Plug the vacuum lines and enjoy.
You call 350-380 a pair expensive? The warn premiums for my bronco were a little less than half of that for a pair around $130 and being a dana 44 about half the axle size, if your not upgrading to a stronger locking hub I really dont see why you cant use your auto hubs that have a manual locking option anyway.
Jack truck up, put two jack stands under front axle, lock one side at a time and spin forward, you should see the axle u joint turn, turn back to free or auto and spin the hub backwards as if the truck was backing up, the hub should disengage and the u joint stop turning, same for other side
