My money would be the IPR valve if the air test is good. I do what I call a "known good" test. It's $250. I air test through the IPR valve bore,, then if it's good I install one of my "known good" valves,, if it fires then the customer buys a new Ford IPR valve. The total with parts is about $500. What's the core charge?? Maybe I will buy that pump. Then I will shoot a full length video of opening that package and installing it in a truck and firing it up. I will pay you double if it's bad.
Not a chance in the world would I put critical engine management parts in one of my truck from a parts store. The good luck from those car quest pumps is because the pump itself is a robust design,, and it prob comes with the discharge fitting already installed (ford reman pumps come with the fitting installed, which is why the pump replacements end in a running truck).
