I can faintly smell antifreeze on my truck as well, but no sign of any leak. I've noticed the primary degas tank has dropped below the level of minimum. I'm pretty certain it was near the full mark when I drove the truck off the lot for the first time. Could be the same problem as you Rodney. Should probably have the dealer check it out at some point.
They also said that there is indeed a check valve for the master cylinder. Funny, dealer one said no such animal and replaced the whole master. Anyways, it's on national back order which may indicate they are changing a lot of them out in the wild. Will report back when that one comes in and get's swapped...
Sorry to hear your issue returned. Please keep us posted, with part number if possible - if it's a $10 part, I know I would buy it and replace it on my own rather than having to take it in to the dealer...
Thanks for looping back with your updates in this thread.
Just my Opinion here.... But, when or there seems to be a problem with a truck here, the part that is needed always seems to be on "National Backorder". Don't get it.
New dealers says they found the antifreeze leak. The degas bottle had a bad seal so it was a leak in the form of steam. This is why I could smell it but not see any drips. New one going in today. Will see if that cures it. ...
Thanks for reporting back on this.
If they told you...
Which degas bottle was it?
Was it the cap or a seam leaking?
Obvious to the eye?

What was the status of the check valve for the master cylinder? Was the dealer able to replace just a check valve; did that fix the issue and is the check valve easily replaceable by the DIY'r?

Edit: Just saw that you said it was on national back order.
Just to update this issue, my vacuum leak did indeed return. However, I figured the source of it... sort of. It has to do with putting the truck in 4wd. I've found in the last few weeks that every time it snows and I put the truck in 4wd to plow, the issue is there the next morning. As I drive down the road from my house, I then put it in 4wd again for a hundred yards or so then back to 2wd. After doing this, the truck won't loose vacuum again overnight until the next time 4wd is used. So, somehow the additional vacuum demand of locking the hubs for 4wd is what's triggering this issue on my truck. That said, dealer number two replaced a hose assembly with integral check valve yesterday so hopefully that cures it for good. We'll see in time. I don't have a part number yet as I picked it up after hours but will post up when they mail it to me.
On the coolant leak issue, the replacement reservoir was not the cure as it was empty again about 2 weeks later. However, another member with the same issue has found the source despite both his dealer and my dealer saying there wasn't one or they couldn't find one. See this thread for details and pics if you have the same issue.
Got some updated info while back at the dealer to get my coolant hose ordered. While talking to the tech, I asked him about my vacuum leak. He pointed out where the check valve is for the master cylinder in case anyone is wondering. It's the shiny black plastic part at the end of the vacuum hose coming off the brake booster shown below.
Now, to tie in with my theory that the 4wd is tripping the issue, the tech did find that the 4wd solenoid that is mounted on the back of the coolant reservoir was bad. If he tapped it he could hear it leak vacuum. So, both that solenoid and the check valve were bad causing the vacuum bleed off when shut down. Pic of the 4wd solenoid here:
Interesting Rodney. I've removed those hoses several times to allow better access to the upfitter switch power box. I remove the hard plastic hose that comes in from the fender side, presumably from the vacuum pump. When I pull it off there is a loud release of suction, so apparently my system holds it fine.
