Melting computer cables

Someone shared this video on the 2017 6.7 power stroke's Facebook group, and I thought I better share with you guys. I looked at mine and sure enough, it is a problem.

It doesn't look like it melted...he mentions that it "chafed". Perhaps a zip tie to keep it away from the engine would be in order?

I thought so also, but the way it is fastened, I just don't think that would be enough. I need to look a little deeper at it.

Looks like they are trying to stuff a lot of things in a small space, nothing a couple zip ties and/or heat tape wouldn't fix.

Fixed mine. noticed there were 2 xmas tree wire retainers that were not in the brackets they were supposed to be in. put those in place and added a couple zip ties for good measure,
all good now
