Tail light socket replacement
Good afternoon. I searched and read any post I could find regarding the tail light bulb sockets but didn't find any information regarding replacing just the socket. Truck is a 1965 styleside. The sockets are corroded and split. I have found exact looking replacement pigtails with the correct wire plug and socket, but can't seem to remove the old ones. Is there a secret to how they were originally mated to the tail light housing? The socket is brass and the housing feels like aluminum. I don't want to ruin the housings.
