Hey what all can go wrong inside a 92 460 distributor. Had coil tested and replaced. Tested the fender mounted module and was good. Intermittent no spark condition.
The distributor contains a PIP module which is where the pulse for spark and EFI control originates. FYI.. the distributor has to be dismantled to replace this module so it's not something that can be changed with the dizzy in the motor.
P.S. I just noticed something in your second post. Do a quick test for spark when the problem occurs, if you still have spark the PIP module is good and your problem is with the PCM. Fuel pumps running constantly when the enigne isn't is a sign that the PCM has lost it's marbles.
