2010 Navigator
site exists.
I owned a previous generation Navigator but I am not sure if I have run into any issues with this car.
-there is no backlight on the gear shifter, analog clock, the setup and info buttons below the heating and AC buttons and the steering wheel controls. Is this normal or is there an issue with these buttons? Is there a fuse issue?
-the left side of the steering wheel controls work fine but the right side is operative but when you increase the volume it changes the channel on the radio. None of the buttons while active do what they are intended to do. The bluetooth end call button does not work at all.
I would appreciate any help from anyone on this board. Thanks
All of those backlights you mentioned are supposed to light up with the rest of the ones on your dash and doors.
Do the buttons do their job? If so then it could be bulbs are out and the buttons themselves are ok.
There is a clock spring thingy in your steering wheel that conducts current from those buttons to the radio. This could be faulty.
I am no expert though.

I did learn from the previous owner that the car was in an accident and the air blag did deploy. Would this possibly be the reason that the lights on the interior car do not work or the steering wheel controls only on the right side? Was everything installed improperly?
