Hellwig Big Wig

I just ordered a Hellwig Big Wig for my F350 SRW. I found a bunch of conflicting part numbers on different websites. I finally emailed their tech support and found the proper part number to be 7320. I ordered it here...

7320, Hellwig Big Wig Rear Sway Bar for the Ford F-250, F-350 | TruckSpring

It comes with the proper brackets to attach to the frame. Just an FYI for anyone else who's been thinking about going this route.

Hummmm, I got the Camper Package which includes a pencil-thin rear swaybar, not great I know....anything mentioned by Hellwig if their swaybar is for trucks which didn't come factory equipped, or will it replace a factory bar truck, or work in conjunction like they sometimes do?

It will hook right up where the factory one is right now. You just remove the factory one and install the part number I listed above.

I bought the factory sway bar because I didn't want to futz around with installing either OEM or aftermarket. So far, my OEM sway bar does a good job of keeping the rear end from rolling around.

I have the Hellwig on my Titan and was probably the best mod I've even done to that truck.

Would a rear sway bar benefit my truck? I don't tow heavy, a 6k tow behind and have a topper, but will carry maybe 600 lbs in the bed while camping? maybe more, my wifes scooter weighs 300 by it self.

Based on what I'm hearing here on the forum, the sway bar doesn't help all that much while towing. If you have a slide-in camper or you're not towing at all then it really helps.

I don't have a sway bar at all so I was trying to decide if it was worth it, most of my driving is empty but all highway but still carry about 300 to 500 lbs in the bed.

I don't know what my F-350 feels like without the sway bar. It might be stiff enough without it. For my Titan, it was a night and day difference, especially at highway speeds. Tight off-ramps are where I felt it the most. With the sway bar it's like a rocket sled on rails, very little body roll.

Find an empty section of road and - at lower speeds - move the steering wheel back and forth. Does it feel like the rear end wants to come around to meet the front? If so, then a sway bar would help.

The sway bar will make the ride feel a bit stiffer. You'll feel more bumps.

To me, the biggest benefit I had from my Hellwig on my 2012 was unloaded operation. The body roll was drastically reduced. I will eventually put one on the 2017.

Run BigWig on last 2 truck F/R, puts your truck in a whole 'nother class and the driving exp is like driving a completely different and MUCH superior truck.

My 14 didn't have HD suspension or the camper kit, and my 17 has both. The 17 handles the sweeper freeway curves noticeably better than the 14 did. I don't know how much is attributable to the sway bar. (My sales rep also pointed out that the 17 also has a lower center of gravity than the 14 due to the aluminum body.)

Is there a reason that Ford doesn't allow you to order the rear sway bay with 20" wheels, or can I even put one on like this Hellwig?
